Community Rules (of thumb)
While we are happy to welcome all new members to the Hispanic Professionals Network, we also wish to preserve the fundamental benefit of an online community, which is to facilitate bringing real people together.
Please present yourself here as you would if you were meeting a group of people in the real world, by introducing yourself and saying who you represent, not by 'being the entity' itself. We respect the mores of online community use and encourage every member to create a personal presence on the interactive web. The HPN asks that you respect these general guidelines:
1) Please provide a name. It is assumed there is a real individual behind that profile. Real individuals should always be willing to identify themselves, not only to give a good impression but so others know that they are not being spammed.
2) Please provide a headshot or a company logo as an avatar. As a business community, we are more relaxed about using company logos as avatars. However, use of an unlicensed photo or of a recognizable image does not constitute an identifying symbol unless that image specifically represents that person or company.
We are always looking for improvements to make this a better online community. If you have any suggestions, please send a message here or email ning@hccmc.org.
Thank you for your consideration and happy connecting!
